I would do a year without reading, but only if it's for dedicating it to another goal, involving adventure and physical exhaustion: travelling, doing sports that allow me to know the world in other ways.

I am not reading to not be bored. I am reading out of curiosity, to feed my mind. If there's another activity that helps me do that, I'll take it: travelling around the world and knowing people, finding out about the places I go by interacting with them, or dedicating myself to doing performance in a chosen sport, or even hiking. Connecting your mind with your body while doing sports is something I find very difficult. Besides that, unfortunately I have in my life years when I barely touched a book, without doing anything notable instead. 🙈

But I would write a lot that year, that's for sure. 😅 I know it from experience too.

So do something instead to make you forget you’re not reading, something to ensure you’re not bored. A year of doing something physical instead of intellectual is a lot!

How long would it be before you feel the need to read something, you think?
